CIA in 75 - Que?
The recent 30 year anniversary of the conservative coup here prompted some articles suggesting that the CIA was not involved. The evidence, such as it was seemed a little narrow and legalistic to me and perhaps some other avenues of exploration could still be profitably opened.
Especially with Google. We didn't have Google when I came online in late 2000.
In 1965, when I was 10 and living in America, it was called the ' year of living dangerously' in Indonesia.
The US embassy was busy handing out death lists. Hundreds of thousands died.
The Ambassadors name was Green. Marshall Green. Previously there had been a massive CIA operation in Aceh Indonesia. In 1958.
In 1973 the CIA was a monster that corrupted two ASIS agents in Chile in South America. They worked feverishly during 10 days that congress forbade any direct CIA interference there. They helped the CIA bring down a democracy and usher in a murderous fascist dictatorship, in spite of being ordered not to by the green new PM. Edward Gough Whitlam.
During this period in Australia the ' Guns in- Drugs out' policies of the CIA's Air America branch of ' The Company' led to the massive Nugan-Hand money laundering operation. Some names that would later crop in the Iran-contra deals with terrorists first bubbled up at this time. One or two are still around for the mother of all scandals - Yellowgate.
In 1973 a shaky president Nixon called a world wide nuclear alert due to the outbreak of the Yom Kippur war. Whitlam was said to be angry he wasn't informed and allegedly called for details on the US bases here.
This led to a slanging match between sectors in the Au and US governments...reportedly. The US bases here had become indispensable to the US by this stage and they remain indispensible according to the largest bureaucracy on earth - the pentagon.
BTW the pentagon gets the lions share of HALF a TRILLION dollars each year for the last few years. The CIA gets 44 BILLION. And after Nugan-Hand went belly up the CIA moved its banking business to the BCCI. The Bank of Crooks and Criminals International.

In the run up to the shocking events of 1975 a young man working for the Americans in cryptography listened in on some disturbing material. To Christopher Boyce it indicated nothing less than direct CIA interference in Aussi union and political affairs aimed at toppling the democratically elected government. At that point he became a traitor to his own Nation and has only just recently been released after a Mandela length imprisonment.
The sort of thing Boyce; ' The Falcon' of the movie, ' The Falcon and the Snowman', describes would be instantly familiar to anyone who has browsed Phill Agee's book on ' The Company'. Very direct interference in Union and Political business on behalf of the most reactionary and fascist interests around.
Even and especially organized crime.
Kerr was directly connected to one CIA front specializing in Cultural colonialism on behalf of US style fascist ideology and the CIA were reported by Boyce to have absolute confidence in ' our man Kerr'.
The US ambassador by 1975 was now Marshall Green.

Lets join Canada and NZ with a modicum of self respect in the Anglosphere while the UK and US go to the dogs of war.
