Actually nearly everyone of those who practised ' propaganda-of-the-deed' was doing so in SELF DEFENCE. For themselves, their immediate friends or themselves as part of a violently repressed expolited slave caste at the time.
Hell - even Kropotkin saw the need for PoD ...at least right up till WW1. The war to end all.
Another ' Big-Lie' is some sort of collective anarcho-shame we're all supposed to feel over event's in Spain circa 1936-9.
