Police shoot terrorism suspect

Senior police say a man they shot in Sydney's south-west this morning was a suspect in the counter-terrorism raids.
The man, believed to be in his 20s, is undergoing surgery after being shot in the neck by officers at Green Valley.
A police spokesman says the man was shot after firing first.
"[Officers] from Green Valley police station attended Wilson Road, saw the man that was of interest and as they did, he saw them," he said.
"Witnesses have told the police that he produced a firearm and fired at the police.
"One officer was struck, we believe in the hand, and suffered a minor wound.
"One of the police officers returned fire and the person of interest to police was wounded in the neck."
Five people were arrested in the Sydney raids, which were conducted simultaneously with raids in Melbourne.
