Just how sick, crazy and twisted is ' Platformism' anyway?
As anarchists we owe it to ourselves to investigate the roots of this extremist totalitarian error known as Platformism. It arises first from an area, the Ukraine, that suffered so fucking much from Leninism in 1917-42 that Hitlers stormtroopers were seen ( briefly ) as liberators!
It arise mostly from the mind of one man who almost single handedly created a ' cult-of-personality' around Nesor Mahkno. So much so that instead of simple anarchists, the followers of this pair were called ' Mahknovista'.
So while it is shocking that Auschwitz had a punishment camp ( Mauthausen ) and that the Ukraine would see Hitler's hordes as liberators yet checkable facts are facts.
And here is one more telling fact. The primary author of the Platform, Peter Arshinov, went back to Russia at the height of Leninist repression. He was never heard of again.
